Our aim at Kingston Child Contact Centre is to help families to establish trust, open up channels of communication between resident and non-resident parents and when everybody is ready, for families to move on from the Centre and make their own arrangements for contact.
During your time using the Centre we hold regular review meetings to establish how you and your child(ren) feel the contact sessions are going. In the review meetings we may discuss relatives (siblings or grandparents) visiting the Centre. For families who have had a lot of successful contact sessions we may suggest the non-resident parent take the child(ren) into the community during contact time, returning the child(ren) to the Centre for the end of the contact session. These arrangements are always made in advance and are with the agreement of the resident parent.
If you would like to have a review meeting and a coordinator has not suggested it, please email us.
