Moving On From Child Contact
Looking Ahead to Your Family’s Future

Seeing families reach the point where they no longer need us, that’s why we do this.
The time your family spends with us is only part of your journey. Your time spent here will help you re-establish trust and rebuild communication channels, so that you can make contact arrangements away from the centre.
While you’re using the centre, we’ll meet regularly to talk about how you and your children feel the contact sessions are going.
When a family has had lots of successful contact sessions, it’s likely we’ll suggest the non-resident parent take the children out in the community during contact time. When we think you might be ready for this, we’ll talk to both parents and start making arrangements. These sessions will start and end at the centre, so we can continue to provide support and manage the handover with you.

Feedback from our families
“I am pleased to say [we] are now spending time together outside of a contact centre, so we will not be attending going forwards. I just wanted to say thank you to your staff, and particularly to you for making the last few months a lot easier for us both. Under difficult circumstances, you all make it a very welcoming and a comfortable place for us to be able to spend time with our children. I can’t thank you enough for how you helped.”
“You are helping me to map out a plan that I can manage.”
